Founder, The Healing Hive

About Suzanne Winslow, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Healthcare is deeply personal. And when it becomes complex, it can also become overwhelming. I created The Healing Hive because I saw a gap in how people are supported between medical appointments — when questions arise, decisions need to be made, and care plans must be carried out in real life.

My goal is simple:
To help patients and families feel informed, supported, and less alone in navigating healthcare.

My Background

I am a doctorally prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a clinical background spanning pediatric care, adult and geriatric primary care, women’s health, and endocrinology.

In addition to clinical practice, I have spent over a decade in nursing education and academic leadership, serving as faculty and Associate Dean. Teaching future nurses and working closely with patients across their lifespan has shaped how I approach care — with clarity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique situation.

Why I Founded The Healing Hive

Over the years, I noticed a pattern.

Patients would leave appointments with excellent medical advice — but little support for what happens next.

Families were trying to coordinate multiple providers.
Caregivers were juggling work, life, and complex care plans.
Patients were doing their best to manage instructions, medications, and follow-ups on their own.

Not because they lacked ability — but because the system is complicated.

The Healing Hive was created to bridge that space between medical care and real-life implementation.

My Approach to Care

I believe good care is not rushed.
It is thoughtful, coordinated, and centered on the whole person.

My approach combines:

✔ Clinical expertise
✔ Care navigation and coordination
✔ Patient and caregiver advocacy
✔ Clear communication and education
✔ Relationship-based support

I do not replace your physicians or specialists.
I work alongside your care team to help ensure plans are understood and carried out smoothly.

What Matters Most to Me

Patients deserve to feel heard.
Families deserve guidance.
Care should feel organized, not chaotic.

The Healing Hive is designed for those who want a steady, knowledgeable partner in their corner when healthcare feels complex.

A Personal Note

At the heart of my work is respect for each person’s story, priorities, and pace. Healthcare decisions are rarely just medical — they are personal, family-centered, and deeply human.

Supporting people through those moments is a privilege I take seriously.

If you’re looking for thoughtful, coordinated support in navigating healthcare, I invite you to schedule a consultation to see if The Healing Hive is a good fit for you or your family.
